Learn how to resize an image for different formats in Photoshop.

 

Photoshop is a powerful tool that makes it easy to resize images to fit your needs. Check out this quick walk-through below to learn how!.

 

 


With and image open in Photoshop:

In the Menu bar go to Image > Image Size.

In the dialogue box you can adjust the width and height of your image in you can click the drop down to change to:

-pixels for web or video
-inches (or centimeters) for print.

Keep the link icon highlighted to preserve proportions.

This will maintain the original ratio of height and width as you resize the image

Select Resample to change the number of pixels in the image. This is what changes the images size and keeps the image crisp when scaling up or down.

Click OK.
